The Campos Grand Pix GP2 Team may be in talks to move up to Formula One as early as next year.
Reportedly team owners Alejandro Agag and Adrian Campos met with Aguri Suzuki, owner of the Super Aguri Formula One team at the Hungarian Grand Prix, and discussed purchasing a minority stake in the Formula One Team.
The Super Aguri Formula One Team has been struggling lately after major sponsor SS United defaulted on sponsorship payments.
Campos confirmed his interest in moving up to formula one to AUtosport Magazine in an interview. “Now we are focused on GP2, but there are other possibilities,” he said. “Next year in my opinion would be too soon. But you never know.”
