Yamamoto to Spyker

Reports have surfaced that Sakon Yamamoto, last seen driving the Super Aguri in Formula One for the last half of last year, is to take over the second race seat at Spyker.

With several other talented drivers to choose from, it seems that Spyker will opt for the driver with the biggest budget, a pretty sad state of affairs when there are only 22 seats available.

It’s Formula One, the pinnacle of motorsport worldwide, we should be seeing the top 22 drivers in the world competing against each other. Maybe it’s time for those who are removing huge chunks of the money form Formula One to dig into their pockets and make sure that we do see the top 22 drivers at each Grand Prix.
